Presales Engineer
Kraków, Poland / hybrid
PLN 15,000–20,000 net per month on a B2B contract, depending on experience.
Travel to customers in Poland and occasionally abroad.
We are looking for someone to lead the technical side of customer conversations at Secfense. You will learn about their IT environments, assess how our products fit their needs, and prepare presentations and demonstrations tailored to their requirements.
About Secfense
We build security products that reduce the exposure of internet-facing services and protect access to business applications. Secfense Ghost makes protected VPN gateways, partner portals and selected applications unreachable to unverified sources. Users verify their organizational membership before connecting, while existing infrastructure, applications and traffic paths stay in place.
Our portfolio also includes phishing-resistant MFA and enterprise passkeys, which organizations can deploy in existing applications without changing their code.
Your responsibilities
Lead technical discovery: understand the customer’s applications, authentication methods, identity systems and network infrastructure.
Assess which customer needs Secfense can address, identify limitations and determine what further information is needed.
Prepare and deliver product demonstrations, build demo scenarios and maintain lab environments.
Define the scope, requirements and success criteria for PoCs where needed for the product and project, and lead their technical execution with support from engineering and delivery teams as required.
Work with sales to qualify opportunities, prepare proposals, answer technical questions and contribute to RFP responses.
Support systems integrators in learning the products, assessing use cases and preparing next steps with customers.
Work with the engineering team on issues that require further analysis.
This is a presales role. Production deployments and team management are outside its scope.
What we are looking for
Experience as a Presales Engineer, Sales Engineer, Junior System Engineer, Junior Security Engineer at a systems integrator.
The ability to lead technical customer conversations independently, describe their environment’s architecture and ask follow-up questions.
An understanding of enterprise infrastructure, on-premise and cloud environments, AD / Entra ID, IAM, SSO and MFA, web applications and the fundamentals of network security, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS and TCP/IP.
Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments and the role of VPNs, firewalls and reverse proxies in providing access to services.
The ability to explain technical topics to administrators, architects, CISOs and business stakeholders.
The ability to identify a solution’s limitations and clarify unknowns with the engineering team.
Confident communication in Polish and English.
Nice to have
Familiarity with SAML, OIDC, OAuth 2.0, Kerberos, FIDO2 / WebAuthn, PKI or Keycloak, and experience with F5, Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks or Cisco solutions. We do not expect expert knowledge of every technology on this list.
CCNA or similar certifications.

Compensation
