Backup and Restore

Secfense Broker uses zip files for configuration backups, with configurations saved as archived JSON files.

To prepare a backup file, navigate to Settings in the navigation bar. The first section contains the backup and restore functions.

Click the Export button next to "Export current configuration." By default, the configuration is exported as encrypted. Enter the password for this export or turn off the "Export unencrypted configuration" switch. The password must contain upper- and lower-case letters and at least one number.

Click Export – the configuration will be downloaded as a .zip file. Encrypted configurations will have ".enc" in their filenames.

To restore the configuration from a backup file, click Import in the same configuration section and browse for the appropriate .zip file. If the file is recognized as encrypted, an input form for the password will appear below. Click Import to complete the restoration.
