The Ministry of Infrastructure has selected the User Access Security Broker offered by Secfense to support 2FA (two-factor) authentication using U2F/FIDO hardware keys. The tool will also secure electronic document management applications and the ministry’s e-mail.
A U2F (Universal 2nd Factor) dongle is a physical device that serves as a second factor of authentication in online security systems. By introducing this solution, institutions increase the security of the login process because even if the password is stolen or broken, access to the account is impossible without physical access to the key.
Adding the second authentication factor, including the ability to use a U2F dongle, to existing applications can be problematic. It requires programmers’ work, code changes, and time. However, there are solutions that make this process much easier and faster. Secfense provided the Ministry of Infrastructure with its User Access Security Broker (UASB), which allows for the rapid implementation of multi-factor authentication (MFA).
User Access Security Broker allows you to cover any system and application with strong authentication, including the phishing-resistant FIDO2 standard, without interfering with their code. This is a great convenience for companies and organizations that are aware of the growing number of cyber threats and want to quickly and effectively increase the security of their users and their data – explains Tomasz Kowalski, co-founder and CEO of Secfense.
UASB enables you to implement MFA on any application in 5 minutes and to roll out MFA across your organization in 7 to 14 days. The solution ensures the safety of stationary and remote employees, customers, and contractors.
UASB is a part of Secfense Suite, which offers organizations unmatched access to security and identity management. It shields against phishing, enables seamless passwordless authentication, and ensures compliance with regulations, all while maintaining full control over user management.
